A fisherman's life is difficult in the Middle Kingdom and the sea is a harsh and unforgiving mistress, so a good catch is the best reason to celebrate with song and dance. The melody is played on a Ba Wu; a simple bamboo wind instrument which uses a single reed to produce its' dulcet and liquid sound.
